Remove red “1” badge next to “WP Activity Log” in WP menu sidebar

Hello Melapress support team,

is it possible to somehow remove the red “1” badge next to “WP Activity Log” in WP menu sidebar after an update of the plugin has been made? One has to go into WP Activity Log and dismiss the “WP Activity Log has been updated to version XYZ” banner to get rid of the badge.

If every plugin would be so chatty the whole menu bar would be red all the time and force agencies as ours to make several hundrets of clicks after every plugin update. There should only be red badges in the side menu bar if there really is something that needs our attention. If there are too many badges one wouldn’t notice them anymore if there really is something important.

In our eyes a notification like “This plugin has been updated.” is not this important. So can we switch at least this red badge off, if this is not possible for the header notice on the plugin page, too? Is there an option to do so, let’s say via a filter in the functions.php or sth. like this?

Many thanks for your work,
-doffine
